On October 29th, Inland Truck & Equipment in Nanaimo is inviting the community to join a fun-filled day of road hockey and BBQ at their first-ever Nanaimo Clippers Community Cup event. The action will take place in the store’s parking lot, where teams of five can register with a $10 entry fee to play a game against members of the Nanaimo Clippers hockey team. This event is open to participants of all ages.
A BBQ by donation will be available, ensuring attendees are well-fueled throughout the day. The competitive spirit will be high, with prizes awaiting the top three teams. Yet, the underlying goal of this event goes beyond just the enjoyment of sport and community; it’s about extending a helping hand.
All proceeds collected from the event will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House BC & Yukon (RMHBC). This initiative is in line with Inland’s ongoing CharityDRIVE campaign, a collaborative effort with CASE Construction Equipment, which has successfully raised over $300,000 to date—all in support of RMHBC.
Attendees of the Community Cup event will also get a glimpse of Inland’s custom CASE CX17C mini excavator, which will be on display. This mini excavator will later be auctioned at the 2024 Okanagan Dream Rally, with all proceeds also going towards RMHBC—showcasing the continued partnership between Inland Truck & Equipment and CASE Construction Equipment in supporting valuable community causes.
